Insulation Contractor in Parma, OH

Comfort for Every Season

As the largest suburb in Ohio, Parma is home to tens of thousands of houses built during the city's major growth years in the 1950s and 60s. That era produced solid, well-built homes — but insulation standards from that period fall far short of what Northeast Ohio's climate actually demands today. If your Parma home still has its original insulation, there's a strong chance it's compressed, settled, or simply undersized for the job.

Why So Many Parma Homes Are Underinsulated

Homes built during Parma's postwar boom were typically insulated to the standards of their decade — standards that predate modern energy codes by 30-plus years. Combine that with insulation naturally settling and losing effectiveness over 60-70 years, and it's common for us to find attics and walls in older Parma neighborhoods running well below today's recommended levels. The result shows up as high winter heating bills, rooms that never quite reach a comfortable temperature, and ice damming along the roofline.

Our Approach: Seal First, Then Insulate

Adding insulation on top of an air leak just slows the problem down without solving it. Before we install anything, we locate and seal the gaps around wiring, plumbing penetrations, and light fixtures where conditioned air escapes. Then we bring your attic, walls, or crawl space up to a level actually suited to our climate — not just a token top-up.

Brick Ranch Gets Complete Insulation Overhaul in Parma

This one-story brick home in Parma was struggling with high energy bills and cold winter rooms — a clear sign the walls and attic had little to no insulation to begin with. With brick exterior walls, the fix required drilling access holes directly into the mortar joints to reach the wall cavities.

Our crew injected Applegate injection foam through the mortar drill points, completely filling the wall cavities for a continuous air and thermal barrier. In the attic, we installed baffles at the eaves to maintain proper soffit-to-ridge ventilation, then added Owens Corning PROPINK L77 blown-in insulation to bring the attic up to a full R-49 — well above what the home had before.

The result: a properly sealed and insulated home from the walls to the attic, ready to keep energy bills down and comfort up through every season.
