What Is Applegate R-Foam?

 

Applegate R-Foam is our top choice for retrofit wall insulation. Its capillary formula lets it flow through empty spaces, into hard-to-reach areas, cracks, and crevices, and over existing materials. Because it's non-expanding, it fills the wall cavity without expanding inside it.

How We Install It

​​

1. Evaluate your walls. We look at your siding type, wall construction, and any existing insulation to plan the best approach.

2. Access the wall cavity. On aluminum, steel, and vinyl siding, we remove sections of siding. On wood siding, we drill through the wood. Interior and behind-brick installation are also options.

3. Drill and inject. We drill small access holes and inject the foam so it fills the cavity.

4. Plug and finish. On aluminum, steel, and vinyl siding, holes are plugged and spackled before the siding goes back on. On wood siding, holes are filled with wood plugs.

5. Reinstall and clean up. The siding goes back on and the exterior is left undamaged, with no drywall removed inside.
